On Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 7 pm, PAS arranged an event called: Eid -Milan Get-together with Dinner & Welcome to the New Hajis at Ewing Neighborhood Center, 320 Hollowbrook Rd., Ewing, NJ o8638. Hajis were welcomed and presented with flower bouquets. Four young ladies, representing the youth of our community, participated by coming on to the stage to speak about Haj. Brother Usman Khan and the Imam from the Trenton Masjid also spoke about the experience and significance of Haj. After dinner, Brothers Mehfooz, Arshad and Salahuddin (and Salahuddin's daughter) did a nice job with Na'at Khawni, PAS appreiciates the generous support & sponsorship of this event by Sulaiman Malik and his Food Castle Restaurant.

On Monday, January 26, 2009 at 7 pm, PAS held a fund-raiser for the re-election of Judge Leonard Brown at the Food Castle Restaurant, Street Road, Bensalem, PA. This event was arranged with the coordination of the representatives of the Indian-American community and the dinner was hosted/sponsored by Sulaiman Malik, the owner of the restaurant. We were able to raise a decent amount of $5,000. for Judge Brown. Please note that arrangement & participation by PAS in such civic functions is in the best interest of our community members.
